Al-Haaj Al-Hafiz Syed Abdullah Shah Sahib Qadri known as Dewan-e-Hazoori (rehmat allah alay) was born on 29th Shabaan 974 Hijra, (11th March 1576) in the village of Takhat Pali, distt Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The child was named Mohammed Abdullah Shah. As a new born chil he spent the next day fasting after drinking his mother milk for shour and it was announced the first day of Ramadan, the following day by the surrounding areas. Pir Dewan Hazoori memorized the Quran at early age, became well versed in the revisions field, his father appraised him with the fundamentals of sufism. Pir Dewan Hazoori spend 12 years at the tomb (derbar) of Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.A) in Baghdad, Iraq for getting spertual education from Ghous-ul-Azam and during this period he performed Hajj/Umrah and visting Madina every year. In Baghdad he spend his time acquiring Islamic knowledge, sweeping the mosques and providing water for the pilgrim there. in the view of their services he was made in charge of the library their. In one of his journeys Pir Dewan Hazoori was passing through Taunsa, when he stopped and said that from this land a sum of celestinet. This proved to be true since Hazrat Mohammed Sulaiman Tancity (R.A) came from that town.
In 1609 Hazret Dewan Hazoori founded Jamia Qadria (school) to educate people and to spread the islamic knowledge. The Jamia al Qadria is a voice of modernisation srtving to rid the Muslim community of the vile innvations and prevailing the Shariah. The propnents of which call for terrorism and violence were denounced. The mission of Jamia did not and will not compromise its stand against those who try to deviate the Muslims from the belief of the Prophet (P.B.U.H), his companions, and the subsequent Muslim generation known as Ahl-Sunnah-Wal-Jammah.
